I have a pair of sneakers (Nike) that show US-9.5, UK-8.5, EUR-43, cm27.5. So.... after going over the size charts and reading the reviews about sizes, I got a measuring tape and measured my foot to get the actual dimensions. I had to either round up or down which was a guessing game. I rounded up to order size 45. I don\'t know how drastic a difference it would have been to order 43 like my sneakers, but honestly they really need to be tighter. The shoes stretch as you wear them and break them in a little and mine are a little loose in the heel so to help snug things up, I\'ve stuffed some packing foam in them (and I wear thick socks). I\'m taking lessons and the instructors all say that your shoes should be snug (some say \"very snug\"). I ordered according to my actual foot dimensions plus a little by having to round up. I say if your sneakers give the European size, order that size for your dance shoes or no more than one size bigger.... they should be designed to be a little bit tight. Once you\'ve used them and broken them in, I think you\'ll be glad you did. Seems to me that if a shoe is \"2 sizes too small\" you couldn\'t even get your foot into them. Like I said, they stretch and give a little once you get your feet in them, but they are for dancing and should fit snug. Heel height is 3/4\" at the front edge of the heel (I don\'t remember if that was specified). Overall, these are nice shoes, but determining the size is tricky.
